BOMs Away - Floating Stars DONE!

Woohoo! After a long time as leaders/enders, two Floating Stars tops are finished and heading out the door to my old Quilts of Valor chapter!

They are pretty much the same quilt - just the reds and blues reversed.

Actually, I suppose, if you flip one upside down, then it's the same quilt...

Anyway, I got tired of these blocks sometime in September, whipped together the last three with scraps, and finished the second quilt this weekend. They'll go back to my Washington coordinator {since I don't have a local QOV anything!} and she'll have them quilted and donated up there.

I was given a stack of the flag fabric in the middle, already cut into 6" squares. I used 3.25" squares for my star points, and now I have 192 bonus HSTs to trim and utilize...somehow...somewhere... Let's just say that's not going to happen for a while. If I'm smart, I'll trim a few every day for a while. {IF being the important word there.}

I've already started a new leader/ender block - using the same rail fence as Bonnie Hunter's challenge this time. Stay tuned for that next month!

So did anyone else work on their BOM? Or a project broken into {slightly} more manageable monthly pieces? Or just a monthly report on a leader/ender project? Link up here or at What a Hoot!
