January Wrapup

I love the start of a new year, when I'm all motivated to get things done! CC, on the other hand, does not - she would like more couch sitting time with me. I've had to let her sit on my lap while I sew...which is not that easy!

The biggest thing of the month isn't a finish - it's the start of my scrappy Fruit Salad quilt blocks! I'm pretty excited about this series and the quilt layouts I have planned for the end of the year.

My finishes: two strip quilts (Dinosaurs and Fairies), Log Cabin Star Mini, Curved Log Cabin Wreath, and Turn Right to Go Left (my OMG for January) which is finished but not yet blogged.

My BOMs: Pieceful Swap, SWOK Sampler, Cake Mix blocks for the guild, Eternal Bloom, RSC/PBJx2, Rail Fence QOV leader/ender (added 14 blocks, 62/192)

I also pieced a t-shirt quilt (waiting on borders and backing now) and my Magnolia Mystery top (my first new quilt of 6and6)! Quilting the mystery top is my OMG goal for February - I want to enter it into our local quilt show in March.

And finally, my year-long project - a Temperature Quilt! I finally worked out a design that makes me happy, and here's January 1-29! (I last worked on it on Tuesday, so there's no data for the 30-31st yet.) Mother Nature is an...interesting quilt designer. January had every shade between 1-72º!
