BOMs Away - Hearts for Paradise

Today was Veterans Day, and I had the honor of doing my first presentation for the region at the local VFW. More about that one Friday with the finished quilt! Before I went to that, though, I worked on something for a different cause.

These two hearts are for Tiffquilts on Instagram - she’s heading a drive for quilt blocks for victims of the Paradise fire. Her brother and his family lost their home in the fire. My college roommate had to evacuate and hasn’t been able to get back yet to see if her home survived.

The orange/white print is a bolt I bought at a store closing sale, thinking it would make a good back someday. There’s 10+ yards on it, so since Tiff is local to Tulsa and I’m going to Route 66 next weekend, I’ll deliver the bolt in person. Because it deserves to be a good back (or three.) And hopefully I’ll get a chance to add a few more hearts to this pile before I leave.

So did anyone else work on their BOM? Or a project broken into {slightly} more manageable monthly pieces? Or a few blocks for someone else’s charity project? Link up here or at What a Hoot!
