BOMs Away - SWOK February

Another red, white and blue weekend! This month, I made my guild BOM's assigned block...

Easy enough!

Then I got to stripping!

Oh, get your mind out of the gutter. I decided on my alternate blocks and started putting them together. First I sewed two sets of 2.5" strips, nested them snugly together, and sliced them.

When they're cut while nested, they're all ready to go straight to the sewing machine.

And then just like that, they're nice little four-patches!

And then just a few more seams turn them into nine patches! Two strip sets yield 16-17 four patches - in my case it's 17, so I have one extra to start next month ahead of the game. I'm not positive yet how many I'll need - I haven't decided if I'm setting on point or not. But it's between 12-20, so I should at least get to twelve!
