BOMs Away - Pieceful Swappettes April

This month is a double, because our lovely bee mama (queen queen bee?) was so focused on getting twelve respectable Instagrammers together that she totally forgot to count herself. So our swap is actually a bakers's dozen and April ended up being the double month.

First up is the Tic Tac Toe block, which I've made before. Easy enough, especially since I had some 4.5" squares cut up for a different project. The rainbow hexagon fabric on the bottom right of the left block is a hint!

Second is Checkered Garden in sea glass colors. Which...let's just say I had trouble following the tutorial. I think I would have preferred just laying out the 2.5" pieces rather than the strip piecing. But I did it and it's done and I really like the colors. So that's something!

So did anyone else work on their BOM? Or a project broken into {slightly} more manageable monthly pieces? Link up here or at What a Hoot!
