BOMs Away - Eternal Bloom 10A

Hoo boy. It's never a good sign when I open one of these packets and see this -

Forty steps! Just in the first of four sections! And that's not forty pieces - as you can see, there's almost always an A and sometimes a B and even sometimes a C. Repeated in Sections A, C, and D. Sigh.

So I got to cutting, and just for fun - this is what it looks like before any sewing occurs. Definitely pretty abstract at this stage.

Oh, and this was the first error that I found in my former LQS's packets - there were only three pink fabrics and the pattern calls for four. Not problem, I'm saving everything till the end, so I just borrowed from the pansies

And after a few hours of cutting and sewing, we have....one partial Section A. Sigh. The good news is all the cutting is done, so the next few attempts will go faster. Hopefully. It is summer after all - and it's too hot to be in the sewing room after 3 pm!

So did anyone else work on their BOM? Or a project broken into {slightly} more manageable monthly pieces? Link up here or at What a Hoot!
