BOMs Away - Jack's Chain Yellow

I am in the midst of prep work for a Quilts of valor presentation next weekend, so while I took a short break for block of the month sewing this weekend, I didn’t work too hard on it.

Nine Patches by Katie Mae Quilts

I stitched up two yellow Jack’s Chain blocks, because I honestly don’t remember how many blocks in each color I need. I did four in every color at first, but I’m pretty sure I have most of the rainbow now but not near enough blocks. And the last time I did yellow, I went with lighter and mustard-y shades, so I chose these two to brighten it up.

I had exactly enough of the tulip fabric - leftover from the backing of my tulip pillow, leftover from my mother’s stash from the 80s. So that’s a really lovely scrap to have in this.

And now, back to the QOVs! We have a big presentation next weekend - seventeen veterans - and I’m providing ten of the quilts. So there’s been a lot of longarming and binding and labeling and washing and… Yeah. Expect a big update for next week’s BOMs Away!

So… Did anyone else work on (or start) a BOM? Or a project broken into {slightly} more manageable monthly pieces? Or a few blocks for someone else’s charity project? Link up here or at What a Hoot!
