Fourth Quarter Goals

  Ah, my favorite time of year.

No, not the time where I make grand lists of plans and don't get any of them done. That's summer, people.

Fall and Christmas? I get stuff done.

Probably because I realize my limitations, stop taking on new projects, and remember the benefits of working straight through on one project until it's done. {Why I can't do this year round, I don't know.}

Not everything on this list is destined for a finish, of course. 4² is my current leader/ender, so it's just getting cheerful four patches and flying geese added slowly to the design wall.

I have no intentions of finishing my husband's running t-shirt quilt this quarter - I was asked to demo some of my techniques at my MQG, and it's the easiest option. And the runDisney one is a top, just waiting for backing; mine is partially quilted; the baseball one is partially cut out; and the squadron one is fewer, bigger blocks.

I really doubt the cardinal table runners are going to happen, but maybe I'll surprise myself. {The unfinished Halloween table runners from last year cackle.}

In the spirit of being organized {and shopping the back-to-school clearance!}, I'm trying to plan a weekly quilting day to clear out the t-shirt quilts, and blog posts on Fridays and Mini-Mondays to force myself to actually get those done.

And it helps that I have no big running events scheduled through the end of the year - just a few 5Ks with my middle school cross country superstar. And at the pace he's going, my runs are under thirty minutes a day - quite a change from 2+ hour long runs!
