Shelley's Spokane - a Finished T-Shirt Quilt!

And rounding up my recent spate of local t-shirt quilts is one for one of my favorite people in town. I auctioned off a t-shirt quilt at our church's fundraiser in May, and Shelley, the dynamo force behind the auction and most other things at the church, won it.

She chose a mix of local shirts {Gonzaga, vintage Bloomsday, her own construction company} and some shirts from traveling - and did the entire layout herself. I told her she was hired for all future layouts.

She picked the grey sashing, since a white or cream wouldn't have worked against all the white shirts. And in real life, the little cornerstones and binding really pop - the fabric has all the colors of the shirts.

That's our church! It's quilted with a wide stipple, in a cream on the white shirts and grey on the top and bottom rows.
