It All Started With a Mouse - a Finished T-Shirt Quilt

  Oh, one of my favorite kinds of t-shirt quilts! All Disney, all the time!

This client said she liked my grid designs, but had too many shirts {and design sizes} to do it the traditional way. So, I came up with a grid-like puzzle design.

I think it came out well! It was a lot of fun adding in that skinny row of runDisney logos. And all those Tower of Terror shirts! That was my very first Disney race back in 2007, and I'm still very bitter that my shirt didn't have "inaugural" on it. Especially now that the race is defunct. {I just realized that will be ten years ago this October. Don't care. STILL BITTER.}

For quilting, she asked for loops and hearts and...

...OF COURSE THERE'S HIDDEN MICKEYS.

The binding, well, she said she liked pink and grey when we were discussing the backing. I hopped on fabric.com, searched for pink and grey, and this Michael Miller stripe popped up. And I pretty much decided I was going to use it no matter what the client thought, because look how perfect it is! I'm not sure I would have ever stumbled across this in a store, so thank goodness for narrowing down online searches!

I forgot to take a full backing shot, but she debated a couple options for a few days before asking me to pick. This was her first choice, but she thought it may be too pink. I don't believe in "too" anything - especially for backing - so flannel pink Minnies FTW! And you can continue to admire that perfect binding.

And the name, of course, is a Walt Disney quote. Appropriate!
